Default Looking for advices for Rragar's menagerie (HM)

Hi all

I'm actually trying to do Rragar's menagerie (HM) and have some difficulties killing the fleshreavers (especially the fleshreavers hounds).

So is there anyone who would be nice and give a poor noob (that's me ) some advices and tips ?

Thanks by advance.

Btw : Being usually alone in the guild when I can play, I'm trying to do it with 7 heros. And my character is a warrior (can have any secondary professions).

There's some very useful advice on the wiki.

And yeah, those fleshreaver hounds can be pretty annoying with their AoE, i'd say spread your party when you encounter these. Especially when there's multiple of them

Micro Complicate, and don't miss.

You can flag your heroes back, aggro the hounds, move back and forth to get them to cast RoJ, then draw them back and kill them as quickly as you can. It worked for me.

Get a Panic mes, will make things much easier. I like to hace at least 6 interupts on my heroes, even with Panic. Makes casters go boom.

I'd suggest Panic mes with Ineptitude mes. It is really killer combination. If you don't have any mesmer skills unlocked (as I didn't, before the hero update), there is mesmer boss in alcazia tangle which has Ineptitude and also few other skills for that build.

While that works pretty well in NM, in HM their RoJ is on a 10sec recharge. You'll have to be exceedingly quick at moving in and killing them to avoid getting nailed the second time.

They have both Smite Hex and Smite Condition. Panic can work, but you need to get extremely lucky with Panic interrupting Smite Hex (repeatedly) and use AoE cover hexes.

Sadly, other than Complicate (or the kind of smart positioning, moving out of AoE, and really solid healing that heroes rarely do), I don't have any good solutions for these stupid Hounds.

With spirits, you can just keep shuffling back every now and then if the pressure gets too high. The spirits will give you a chance to get back on your feet. I only recall one or two troublesome mobs (in HM) and even then the worst that happened was perhaps a death or two; nothing worth being concerned about (it's not like you won't burn the dp off anyway).

Thanks a lot for all the advices.

With a total lack of originality, I took a Panic mes, an Ineptitude mes, 2 ritu (SoS and SoGM) and 3 necros (Discord) and managed to finish that without any problems (well only thing is I'm now ashame because I kept being killed while my heroes lived ).

This, I allways just flag my heros like 50 meters or so behind the group. Run in and run around like a madman for a few secounds then make my heroes come.

It worked for me, too. The hounds might get off one RoJ, but if your heroes are flagged apart before you aggro them you can survive one RoJ.

To counter RoJ, I usually just flag my heros back just a little, and run in first. I get healed, hounds use their RoJ on a single target, which gets dodged. On recharge, it's pretty easy to eliminate them quickly. goodbye hounds.

I just rolled imbawar and spread my heroes out on the hounds. Dungeon was actually easier than I thought.
